All visits to the pet store are strictly via appointment only.

Our puppies are not on display to avoid overstimulation and stress.

Without a preferred breed, you may step into an empty store.

Due to the current COVID situation, only limited number of pax are allowed.

Do Whatsapp for more information.

ARE THESE PUPPIES FOR SALE OR FOR ADOPTION?

Hi, we are a pet store. Our puppies are for sale only.

WHERE ARE YOUR PUPPIES FROM?

The available puppies you view in store are mostly locally bred unless otherwise stated. They are from AVS Approved sources only.

We work strictly and closely with AVS Licenced Breeders to ensure that our puppies are from cruelty-free environments.

We do not work with illegitimate sources or backyard breeders.

Due to the new AVS’ involvement and regulations, all parental records must be submitted to the AVS once puppy is microchipped and licensed.

Puppy’s parents with less than desirable medical records must be neutered or sterilized.

DO YOU EVER IMPORT PUPPIES?

Yes, we do.

We receive puppies from Ireland, Australia, as well as the United Kingdom. Our resident Golden Retriever, Zephyr, is an Australian import.

*In this extraordinary COVID times, we are not importing on demand.

Please check our available puppies list for updates.

HOW MANY VACCINATIONS HAVE MY PUPPY RECEIVED?

Puppies at Wag a Tail Pet Store have at least received the following from a licensed veterinarian in Singapore;

- 2x Core Vaccinations

- 2x Deworming

- 1x Tick / Flea / Heartworm Preventative

Wag a Tail Pet Store recommends owners to allow puppies to receive up to 4 core vaccinations in total for their first years, subjected to your preferred vet's advice.

Additional vaccinations and preventatives to consider;

- Kennel Cough Vaccine (Bordetella Vaccine)

- Proheart (Heart Worm Preventative)

- Rabies Vaccine (if relocating to other countries)

WHAT ARE THEY VACCINATED AGAINST?

The puppies are vaccinated against:

  • Canine Parvovirus

  • Canine Distemper

  • Adenovirus

  • Canine Parainfluenza Virus

  • Leptospirosis

WHAT IS PARVOVIRUS?

Despite having received their vaccinations, puppies can still contract and be infected with Parvovirus.

Parvovirus is a virus hugely feared by all owners and puppy handlers.

It is a highly contagious and infectious disease that will cause puppies to fall really ill. Bloody, watery diarrhoea and vomitting are the many signs.

There is no cure and no known medication that can help puppies infected with Parvovirus.

Puppies and dogs infected with Parvovirus can only be treated by giving supportive care in the intensive care with bills amounting to thousands of dollars.

Puppies usually die within 5 days, despite receiving medical and professional treatment.

Puppies which survive (albeit not many) continues to be contagious or infectious up to 3 months.

IS THIS WHY YOU PROVIDE PARVOVIRUS TEST BEFORE A PUPPY GOES HOME WITH ME?

YES.

All puppies must do a parvovirus swap test before they go home with you. This is to ensure puppy is free from the deadly virus.

The test will be witnessed by you and/or your family members.

WHAT IS A SKC OR KENNEL CLUB CERTIFICATE?

SKC stands for Singapore Kennel Club.

The SKC is recognized internationally as the national canine organization of Singapore.

When a puppy has a SKC Pedigree Certificate or is Pedigree Certified, it is self explanatory that puppy is of pure breed.

Puppies with the SKC or Kennel Club Pedigree Certificates usually cost more than the ones not registered.

MAY WE JUST COME AND PLAY WITH THE PUPPIES? THEY ARE SO CUTE.

Unfortunately, we do not allow interaction unless there is an intention to purchase.

This is also to prevent spreading of diseases and/or illnesses among the puppies.

WHAT BREED IS GOOD FOR ME?

It will be good to do more research as we are not aware of your daily lifestyle to better recommend the perfect breed for you.

If you are staying in a HDB, we suggest looking into the HDB Approved Breeds list first.

Otherwise, it will be best to fix an appointment with us. Our puppy carers and advisors will be able to better help you after a chat.
